Final Unit 3

Video

I used Picasa for the first time to try and make a video. First of all my pictures are still needing to be finished and edited, but I wanted to see how this would look on a slide show. Not a fan of Picasa.....I want to see what everyone else is using and how it differs from this program.

Image Rhough Drafts

These are the images Im thinking of using. They arnt in order but the first one will be the third one, where she obviously isnt putting much effort into her studying. The second one will be the one where shes carrying the bed, this actually was during finals week our freshmen year, we took all our roomates stuff out of our room and hid it, I thought it would be perfect for the second picture to demonstrate the distraction. And then the drinks would be the third picture in which I would show how students turn to caffein and energy drinks in order to cram before an exam. I dont know yet what I will be doing for my 4th picture, I need to think about it more and see what ending result would be more effective.

I still need to go in and edit my pictures to have the text message conversation as well.

Unit 3 Project

I originally wanted to do child obesity and use images of my brother. Now Im not saying hes over weight, but hes gotten a little thicker as hes gotten older but it is not a health issue or anything like that. I feel horrible for thinking of that idea, but it wasnt meant to call him fat! hehehe. Anyways......I had the right material and pictures to do it, with the thought of doing some pictures of him when he was younger and using images of him eating junk food and sitting at home playing Call of duty, which he never gets off of! But I didnt have the heart to do it and new my mom would kill me for doing that to her baby even though I did not mean anything bad by it.

So I am moving forward with the idea that I will be doing set of images to represent the effects of careless studying. Finals are coming up and we all know how important it is to study, however there are students who tend to good off and not take studying seriously. As well as the added distractions of cell phones,  facebook, computers and various other things. Some of those students are lead to pull all nighters which I think the majority of us have come to realize that they dont help or work! So I will be using my friend Janie as my "model" for my images and also will be implementing text conversations between friends in order to show her lack of motivation to study.

Last Thoughts

My website is slowly coming together.

My biggest challenge is finding enough information and content to fill up the websites or interest my readers. I have a tendency of either over informing and giving to much detail or not giving enough information. Either way could be good or bad so I need to find a happy median.

Before todays peer review, I was really having trouble with exactly what to put in my website. After seeing other peoples pages and discussing my ideas, I can rest assure I'm on the right track. I did get various good tips regarding my pages and my logo that I will be considering when fixing my website.

I'm going to have to sit on dreamweaver for a while and really work on perfecting it!

HTML makes my life difficult

Is it just me or does everyone feel like HTML is the worst thing in this world?????


Every time I go to change something, I think Im doing it right, and it turns out to be completely wrong!


The codes are difficult to understand and I fee like going to pick up the book HTML for dummies but I feel like I will never finish it or know what I am doing.

I'm not going to lie, I have started over about twice now. First time was simply because I just didnt understand what I was doing and felt like a clean slate was needed. The second time was due to the fact that I didnt feel the scheme fit my topic. I had a purple background and the typical TCU theme, I got sick of looking at it so I felt that It had to change. I started over and now my colors are black, grey, white and blue, due to the fact that im speaking about parking and tcu police. I feel like the color scheme fits better.

Either way, as many times as I go through the same steps and changes, the less I know what I'm doing.

Maybe its just me....But its safe to say I wont be making another website after this unless I absolutely have to!
